October 2025: On Inevitability: US fulfillment, new perfumes, changes

Hello dearest friends,
As we’re all aware, there have been certain immutable events that have led to great difficulty in getting my products into the USA. The disruption necessitated a strategic pivot, one meant to be calculated over many months, now compressed into two months of frantic action.
We now have an excellent fulfillment space in New York. It’s now a matter of working through the associated bureaucracy, which is both exacting and slow. Followed by the perfumes actually getting there!
I can say, quite confidently, USA shipping will be operational in November. No border, no duties!
To mitigate the in-between, Lucky Scent, Stele & Monc XII have stock, and more on the way.. Just enough to prove that I am still alive!
Now, to the finer points.. I will address some of my offerings changing, NEW PERFUMES (!), and other important (less enjoyable) details:
For the time being, Canadian and UK orders are being processed normally. However, I will be shutting the website down as of Oct 30th to finalize all my moves in peace. After I relaunch the website, the following will be implemented. So, CA & UK, please order now to get em before the following:
#1 Product changes:
With this recalibration of inventory flow, certain products had to be reconsidered.
The 4-piece Sample Set. The custom four-piece set, while a personal favorite of yours and mine, is a logistical nightmare. It will be retired.
In its place, two standardized five-piece sets will be introduced. One I will call the “Classic,” a collection of the most popular, which is, I guess, another way of saying the most known. The other set will change twice annually, with the seasons. A Spring/Summer, and a Fall/Winter. They will be in little boxes.
The 7.5ml perfume pens. Data suggests a very clear preference for the 15ml. The pens, while elegant in theory, will be phased out. They will remain available only to Canadian and UK customers until existing stock is gone.
#2 $$$:
This new arrangement carries financial consequences. A small price increase is unavoidable. Thats still being ironed out, but I'm hoping to keep the increase around a modest 5-7%. US customers can now shop in USD.
While Canada and the UK will also see an increase in price, I am doing my best to shield those customers from the specific issues stemming from the American market.
#3 New perfumes:
Remember how I threatened a triple release earlier in the Summer? I was being so ambitious back then! If it isn’t obvious, the circumstances did not align. This is on hold until we have a proper launch in New York at Stele. We are now looking into November for this.
Two of the three fragrances will be introduced imminently, while the third is scheduled for Spring. I have surrendered, I am letting things arrive in their own time. When they are ready, you will find them. They will simply SHOW UP.
The impending two perfumes are named, respectively,
Étude in Black (tart-cypress-y-black-rose),
and Big Night (uhhh “Maraschino Vetiver”). I just got hyper writing that! I want to say more!
#4 (Staying in touch):
I am also moving all my online operations over to Shopify, finally..
I will be relocating my email list, but that transition has been somewhat unreliable.
To ensure you continue to get emails from me, please sign up here on the new platform: www.universalflowering.com.
We will speak more when the path is clear! In the meantime, here are some answers to a few questions I imagine you may have:
-Those in the USA who placed orders in late August/early September - the ones that didn't make it - can continue to keep their orders in queue (at the price they paid), for delivery as soon as it's available.
-For those who purchased "Gift Sets" that came with a code to redeem a full bottle, I will be honoring the price point initially paid for.
-If you have a gift card, or coupon code etc etc that hasn't been redeemed yet, I will be transferring all this data over to the new site. It wont be lost.
If anything else, please email me and I'll get back to you!
xox,
Courtney

Hi Courtney! I am such a huge fan of your fragrances, and I’m sure you get this question all the time, but do you ever plan to rerelease popular fragrances that have been discontinued? I understand that sometimes the components/scent notes become too expensive to continue producing/are difficult to source, but I was sooooo in-love with Rhapsody in Mauve and haven’t been able to find anything like it since it was taken off of your website. I was planning on using it as my wedding scent, but I used every delicious drop! I know you don’t do requests, but if it ever comes back by popular demand, I’d love to know! Either way, I’m such a fan of your company and will continue purchasing and appreciating the work that you do :) Thanks! —Abby
